Why I Am Anti-"Trans"

It's time to push back hard

It’s Simple

I won’t make you read dozens of paragraphs to reach the answer to the “why” on the title. Each extra sentence has potential to make you give up and move on.

I am against “trans” because it’s fake. “Trans” people don’t actually believe they were born in the wrong body, their sex was not mis-assigned at birth, they will not slit their wrists should someone refer to them by the pronoun that matches their chromosomes. All this is gibberish, and it is bullshit.

The Word Itself, and Why I Sneer-Quote It

The popular foreshortening “trans”, in addition to being an unusual monosyllable at odds with the zoo of neologisms that come with it (“transphobia“, “cisheteronormativity“), is an instant lie. It seeks to combine into a single sound what are actually three unrelated ailments, as well as folding in homosexuality, which has no more to do with “trans” that starfish have to do with mountaintops. Let’s get these out of the way.

Transvestites

Transvestites are people, mostly male, who achieve arousal by dressing as the opposite sex. It is an example of a paraphilia, not a dysphoria. Some declare the word offensive or obsolete; when I went to gay clubs they were usually called “drag queens” but “transvestite” was in common use.

Transvestites are more gay than the general population but they are usually heterosexual; many have wives and children and their cosplay may be secretive or it may be “daddy’s funny hobby.“

Transvestites never actually identify with the opposite sex. You will never hear “I identify as a woman” from one, much less any of the 200-odd neogenders with their flags. They are mostly heterosexual men who know they are men and who like to dress as women.

I can’t say much good about them. Though I stopped frequenting gay clubs decades ago (the hostility to men over 30 is tiresome), I was acquainted with transvestites everywhere I went clubbing. They tend to be pitiable people. Few have jobs, complaining that not being allowed to go to work in drag is oppressive. Many live with a succession of soon-to-be-ex-friends, whose valuables they steal and sell. When I first went to a gay bar, my very first night Out, I was warned not to bring a “drag” home and let him out of my sight.

I don’t know if they are still like this, I haven’t been to a gay club in 30 years, but a lot of us found them tiresome.

Transsexuals

Sometimes spelled with a single central s, sometimes two. Here we have an authentic medical affliction. They are deliberately confused with transgenders (aka “trans“) to legitimize the latter since transgender is purely elective and has no medical foundation.

I’ve known a number of transsexuals (hereafter “TS“), dated a few of them, though all these affairs were before the “trans“ cult has emerged. It is TSs who have differences in cerebral structure from their biological sex. They usually exhibit the first signs of sexual disharmony between ages 4 and 6, and the condition is lifelong.

They are very unlike transgenders. They don’t obsess over pronouns, they usually dress in accordance with their actual sex, but they feel constantly at odds with it. This condition was (is?) call Gender Identity Disorder, GID, and it has strict and rigorous diagnostic criteria, unlike transgender, which has none. The reason for these criteria is that many TSs desired sexual reassignment surgery, which before “trans“ was regarded as a very serious intervention and denied to most who asked for it. With “trans“ the hormones and the knives are almost for the asking. Big business.

TSs do not deserve contempt nor scorn. Their condition is real, it is unsummoned, it is in no way an act. And they are extremely rare. One in 30,000 male births, one in 100,000 female births, are transsexual. That is one in 65,000 including both sexes, or about 5-6000 in the entire US population.

Homosexuals

I only include these in the list because it is a common claim among the “trans“ that gay people are “half-trans” and lack the fortitude to complete the transition and go under the needle and knife. This is bullshit. Very few homosexuals feel any ambivalence about their own biological sex and while many originally saw themselves as allies of the “trans“ cult, the hijacking of our hard work at social progress has gotten really stale and gays are getting sick of them. The “trans“ claim that we owe them for our gains because the Stonewall myth has a mob of drag queens (“trans“ was forty years in the future) going up against the cops. Didn’t happen.

We are not almost-trans, unless you’re one of those bigots who regards homosexuality as so immoral that having one’s genitals mutilated is a better choice.

Transgenders

This is what is usually meant by “trans.” Unlike transsexuals, “trans“

1. has its onset shortly after getting on social media like TikTok, never in childhood

2. is often outgrown after a few years, though many have had time to destroy their health with hormones and surgeries

3. has no diagnostic criteria other than self-report: say “I identity as a woman” and, according to some awesomely demented people, a woman you are.

4. is much more common in females (recall that TS is three times as common in males)

5. has every aspect of a cult, including hostility toward parents and anyone else not a member and an intense cliquishness

6. includes a subculture of neologisms and flags and a constant flux of special pronouns and forbidden words

7. entails a bizarre ensemble of lies and myths, for example that anything short of slavish obedience to their every demand will lead to their suicide. In reality the suicide surge comes later, after they realize they’re going to be breastless or dripping urine the rest of their medicalized lives.
   
   Transgender is called Gender Dysphoria in the medical literature and until recently it was standard practice to treat it as genuine and give the “trans“ brats everything they demanded. A single brief session with a clinician employed by a clinic would get hormones, puberty suppressors (which are not reversible) and even cross-sex hormones.
   
   GD isn’t the only dysphoria. Another is Body Integrity Identity Dysphopria, people who feel as though arms or legs are cum,bersome and want them surgically removed. A few months ago a girl with BIID blinded herself. Should we “affirm“ them too?

About those pronouns. It’s the third-person pronoun that underlies all the controversy the one we use to refer to people who, ummm, aren’t around to hear it. If you’re a “‘trans‘ woman,“ which is to say, a man, and someone refers to you as “he” when you aren’t there to hear it, why care?

But it is the use of “they” as a singular that is plainly enraging; it’s confusing and the grammar is simply unacceptable. Since the formalization opf English spelling and grammar it has always been controversial and it has not stopped being so because of a gaggle of attention whores.

The reality of transsexualism, despite its rarity, is often deliberately confused with transgender; there really are transsexual people, enough in the nation to fill a high school auditorium. Blur your eyes, ignore the differences, and they’re the same, right?

No. Transsexuals are real. Transgenders are fake.

Non-Binary

This is a particularly freakish variant of the “trans“ cult, people who claim to identify with neither sex. At lease “trans” has the thin and dubious foundation of transsexuals; “non-binary” has no psychiatric foundation at all. If, as I do, you find all this annoying, the “non-binary“ will be the most annoying of all. I need to limit my remarks about them lest I go a little, um, overboard.

The Attention Cult

If you meet a “trans” person, she will show a very limited range of topics:

1. herself

2. her gender identity

3. her pronouns, which change frequently

4. the cruelty of a society that doesn’t slavishly respect her delusions

5. “misgendering” and “deadnaming“: using her actual name and the pronoun of her actual sex
   
   This is about attention. Look at me! Look at me! I’m “trans!“ Her transition is the most important event in history. She hates her parents despite all their efforts to “affirm“ her new “identity.“ She feels threatened and hated because some people choose not to play along. She so believes that such failures cause suicide that it is unsurprising “trans” cults, as “affirmation“ dries up, are turning to murder.
   
   The “trans” use the word “genocide” a lot.
   
   A half dozen years ago to question even the most absurd claims (“‘trans‘ women are women“) was grounds for termination from a job, ejection from an online forum, even arrest. Some states will take children from parents who won’t “affirm” their suddenly “trans” children. Schools will keep students’ descent into “trans” lunacy from their parents.
   
   This is changing. Many European countries have closed the gender clinics; the British Cass Review find no significant evidence of the benefits of gender woo, particularly in medical treatments. The USA will likely be the last to go because “gender medicine“ is big business and in the USA medicine operates on a for-profit basis.
